Here's mine at this point in time in no particular order

Hope in Prison by America Owns The Moon (probably my favorite Indiana band ever right now)

What Are We Doing? by Carl Broemel (all his songs are great)

Survival by The Impossible Shapes (recorded by LP and Vess)


Let's Get In Love by Kentucky Nightmare (I'm a sucker for a great pop/love song)


Talk To Me Then by The Mysteries of Life (I love the lyrics, totally sums up their major label debacle, at least that's how I hear it)

I'm not sure I'd want to hear them over and over for the rest of my life, but here are ten songs that I think are pretty great:

El Nino: Lucky Day
Kaiser Cartel: Okay
Apparitions: God Monkey Robot
Margot and the Nuclear So and So's: Skeleton Key (album cut)
Zero Boys: High Places (from the Master Tape Vol. 1)
Mysteries of Life: Southdowns
Gizmos: Hard Hoboken Line
Sardina: He's On Drugs Again
Dandelion Abortion: Teenage Reject
Winechuggers: Long Circuitous Path

Plus just about anything by the Vulgar Boatmen, but it's all live recordings and I prefer the albums.

Sardina- Jealous Frog (nothing against the studio tracks but this live recording gave me chills before LP passed and just slays me now. His voice is so fragile and powerful. This may be his best song).

Uvula - D-E-M-O-N-S (before I saw the track title for this song I thought they were singing "You'll never get rid of your D-E-M-O-S".")

The Vegetables- I Dig The Scenery (If this Bloomington band had been transported back in time they could have been one of the best psych bands of the 1960s).

The Sheds- All You Need (love this song, can't ever hear it enough. Chris' voice is perfect)

Winechuggers- Long Circuitous Path (ok, I did record this track but I still love it)

Because I enjoy arbitrary restrictions, I limited myself to one song per artist, and only songs that are actually on the site. With the exception of the Touchy Subjects track, these are all from the time when I was living in Bloomington during the 90s.

Ryan: My arbitrary restriction was that I couldn't spend more than 5 minutes researching songs to check whether they were on the site, which pretty much left me thinking of things off the top of my head that I suspected would be there. In all cases, I was right.
