Mine was always Babes In Toyland, and I'm pretty sure I've lost partial hearing since the 90's :

When I was 10 I used to crank Patsy Cline (which my parents loved) and sing to her at the top of my lungs, VERY badly (which my parents hated.) Then when I was 12 my best guy friend moved to CA and gave me the new Lynyrd Skynyrd album, you know, with Freebird. I played it over and over sobbing. Madness I tell you. I thought my mom was going to lose it.
When I was 14 my boyfriend loved the Cars so I played them loudly, and often. Mom and Dad hated, hated, hated the Cars. The rest of high school is a blur and I graduated by 17 so I was out of the house by then. After that I only drove roommates crazy. Babes in Toyland played a part in that.

Good stuff, Wendy. I saw a cute video on youtube of Kat dancing at an M.I.A. show.
Love to all of my musical forefathers, but I could never get into Dylan. His voice just isn’t for me. My dad borrows my Ryan Adams cd’s when I’m home and insists that I can’t like Ryan without liking Bob. I don’t hear the similarities, but whatever.

hey all!
looks like i might be darkening the door of Indianapolis this weekend. anything i need see/do? i haven't been the state for almost 6 years.. all i have planned is to hit the MCL and QLs in Muncie..
Warped Tour was a blast! NOFX, Anti-Flag, Bad Religion, Flogging Molly, and The Ataris all put on good shows. Hadn't slam danced in years before this; I don't remember it being that tiring.
really, we just got back yesterday from the U.P. camping for 11 days......we won't be leaving home for a few weeks! So.....I start school on August 10th, we have Labor Day off, then I have October 21, 22, 23 off of school, makes a wonderful 5 day ...
no just the cure thingy—we need to get the GCT mp3s on here will do!
