I was at both of those Coliseum shows. I remember the parets dumping the kids at the show and going to the rest of the fair without us. I think they still sold alcohol at the fair back then. One of those shows also featured the first performance of…
Happily old, married and with a new generation of Indiana rocker.
What bands are you or have you been in?
Previously of the Cheeses from France, Men Working in Trees, Wheezing Combo, the Math Bats, Modern Vending, Boner Opticz, Nostrilla Parkway Revisited, Helen Shields, Decatur and I managed THE MIGHTY Yellow Jaundice Babies. Executive bill footing and bag holding of The Merle Griggs Show.
Heard about the reunion. I need some info on Bill's bus. I need a shuttle for June 14th from George's Neighborhood Grill to the Indians game and back. Cost info and availability. Also trying to get Donna the Buffalo in the Vogue. But I will need to win at Bingo to help finance it. Trying to get Matt to book a band in Indiana for the 1st time and charge more than 15 bucks is like pulling teeth. But this band is like the Mummies. Ready to break out nationally but still a regional band. They are from New York. Great beat music. Get back with me on the info. Still going to Indy sometimes, but I don't get down on weekends much. If you want to play bingo, Sundays are great and cheap.
I don't think i'm going to be in Indy for the reunion show... Hopefully there will some some documentation (photos, audio, video) of this monumental event!!!
Hey Chris, we would love to get behind that 5/29 show! I'm on vacation next week but when I get back let's chat via email or phone on how MFT can support that show.
Jeb
Hey Chris, Speaking of Mathbats alumni, how is Eric doing? I used to run into him from time to time but havnt seen him for a while. Is he on MFT? You guy should totaly do a reunion. I would have to save up enough money to buy a teleprompter before I attempted a Mikes House show, that could take a while given the current economy.
I think it's funny that Jeb called out my lack of CD when we were roommates at the ballroom. My love of vinyl and detestation of the CD format runs along this line.

My good friends at MFT asked me to write something about where I think the music industry is going over the next ten years. In other words, my good friends at MFT have invited me to set myself up to look like a total idiot in ten years. Regular…

interesting. Now if you could actually hit a button and somewhere a large jukebox would find the album, put it on the turntable and stream it, that would be something!
Oh, and the records from my parent's collection that really launched me? Their collection of "original Broadway cast" musicals made me think about telling stories through music; Allan Sherman's "My Son the Nut" taught me that music can be both serio…
I’ve probably mentioned this before here at MFT, but the first time I really, REALLY wanted a particular recording and found out it was only available on CD...late July of ‘95...that was one of the saddest days of my life. Crushing. I’m not sure jus…
