John, that doesn't sound like the Amy Revalee I know. I've never seen your father, but I'm pretty sure Amy would never give YOU her number. Ha Ha.

Well, all the CCAA stuff is up (I think at the tussinup.whybark.com site) - take a look and if you can't find it let me know.

The No Death in Disneyland shirts were from a poster originally associated with Paul Krassner's The Realist, I think. Googling it turns up zilch, though, so I could be wrong.

Let me know how to kick you the dough. Are you in touch with Esther (Steve's sis)?

Hello Danielle!
I'm still hoping to catch up! Can we make a date? I'm still sad I missed the silkscreening workshop and hope there will be another possibility!

But just a coffee break or a walk would be nice! Finn is growing fast!
Cheers,
Sophia

PS: Baltimore has a fantastic working-class history and diverse neighborhoods too!

Of course I remember you, Danielle! I still have your "Second Childhood" book of poetry.

Sorry about being so slow to get back. I love my friends in B'ton, but I'm not a B'ton nostalgia-type, like some are. I created an account here on a lark. I owe a lot of peeps here a shoutout, especially those who've wished me well on my page.

As for Baltimore, yeah, your friends are probably just overreading the Wire. Sure Baltimore's depressed, drug-ridden, and violent, though the murder rate's gone down. But MICA's not only has a safe campus, it has a great, socially responsible program. I've worked with some of its alumni on projects like the Baltimore Indypendent Reader. I've even applied to teach there.

I hope this info is still relevant!

Love the pics! Send me news of yourbadself!

x M

Remember me? Collins long ago?
I heard that you live in Baltimore and I need your advice. My daughter just got a big scholarship to MICA. People keep saying to me, "Baltimore is a really dangerous city."
We just got back from looking at some schools in New York City, and I can't imagine that the MICA neighborhood can be any worse than the area around the 'gated campus' of Prat in Brooklyn.
My kid has traveled a lot and has been to big cities. So, is Baltimore REALLY a dangerous city, or are my friends just watching The Wire to often?
Are there just areas that you should not go to?

Hope you are doing well. I would appreciate any info you can give me.

The tooth fairy brought Joey a Susan B. Anthony dollar. He had never seen one before so I had the pleasure of giving him a women history lesson over breakfast.
I don't think he'll retain the info but one needs to start somewhere.
I hope you had fun stalking people with Amy and its my turn to have you over for tapas and wine.
