Dementia Precox:Retro Band of the Millenium!

One of the strangest acts to emerge from the Dayton underground, this noisy outfit led by Gyn Cameron was one of the areas first proponents of industrial music. They would later explore more dance-oriented sounds but the group's early '80s output was electrifying and cathartic.

14-times Olympic gold medal winner Michael Phelps caught with cannabis pipe . I say give the guy a break.

One party-goer who witnessed the star’s behaviour told the News of the World: “He was out of control from the moment he got there.
“If he continues to party like that I’d be amazed if he ever won any more medals again.”
Phelps’ aides went into a panic over our story and offered us a raft of extraordinary incentives not to run the bong picture.
It was on November 6, weeks after his Beijing triumph, that 23-year-old Phelps surprised students at the University Of South Carolina in Columbia by showi… Continue

Oh, it's a great comp. No complaints here. Yeah the original Red Snerts was weird, no doubt. It's a good project for you to have done. I'll send you my address.

Man, I went and saw Fresh & Only's last night and allz I can say is, WOW!

Super duper good shit. Made me glad to be alive, and I don't take that for granted. It's nice to see a band that by sheer musical force can give you some transcendence in this day and age, when you think that you've seen it all.

The Oh Sees were good too!

I still miss you guys. Hope all is well.

interesting. Now if you could actually hit a button and somewhere a large jukebox would find the album, put it on the turntable and stream it, that would be something!

Oh, and the records from my parent's collection that really launched me? Their collection of "original Broadway cast" musicals made me think about telling stories through music; Allan Sherman's "My Son the Nut" taught me that music can be both serio…

I’ve probably mentioned this before here at MFT, but the first time I really, REALLY wanted a particular recording and found out it was only available on CD...late July of ‘95...that was one of the saddest days of my life. Crushing. I’m not sure jus…

I need to write a blog totally marginalizing vinyl. I'll get to work on that ;) Seriously, good piece. I need to find my way back to vinyl - I need to convince my wife to let me set up the turntable in the living room again.

My family still had 78's and a record player that would play 'em when I grew up in the '50's. My father had big band, Beethoven, country, all kind of things. My mother worked at the RCA plant that made records in Indianapolis, when she left to have…
