Rockabilly Hall of Fame: JIANTS, from Marion, Indiana

Marion Indiana where I went to middle/high school has a Rockabilly Hall of Fame member. The Jiants were from Marion, and featured Jerry Hedges. His son Aaron plays in the Crawpuppies, playing at Birdys (see events).

Our high school was The Giants, so maybe that's where the name came from?

I looked up the Jiants myspace. Check it out! They should be on MFT!

UFO's in my backyard, graveyards, mental patients and trains. Welcome to my bedroom in 1973, Marion Indiana

In 1973 a wave of UFO's were sighted right around the time of Watergate. One was sighted close to my backyard. Well it was more than a backyard.

I lived in a VA hospital. If you don't know, they sometimes have Homes for the Doctors and staff. Marion VA was intense at the ending of Viet Nam. We still had patients from WW1, 2 and Korea. Many were insane, but more were alcoholics and drug addicts.

I lived in another VA Hospital in Ft. Lyon Colorado where Kit Carson, The Santa Fe… Continue

Live/Taped Music Event, for casting on the Internet. Can be in different locations. Eloid MC. Anyone Interested?

I want to do a show live or taped for the internet, with Eloid in
Hollywood on web cam, put it on youtube or some of the video sites or
somewhere. I'm thinking a theater like Fountain Square with films in the
background, and/or having bands in different locations all around the
country. Then Eloid would MC in between acts.

I don't really have a title for it yet or anyone involved. If anyone, bands, technicians, are interested in getting involved, please let me know.

Hey Frankie,
Hope you are well. Can I just say that Moto-X changed my life? What a band. Even at the time I grapsed how very heavy, how beyond cool, it was. To this day, some of the songs are harder to get out of my head than "Baby Elephant Walk."

Your idea for a Rock 'n Roll review sounds very cool. I think it is exactly what we need. I'm soooo tired of bands with cello's and glockenspiels and shoe-gazers...sorry, I got off track. Yeah, that would be awesome. If I can help you facilitate anything on this end, please let me know. I'll start asking around to other folks as well.

This is Mars Needs Women's, first band name. We got our flyers torn down Kirkwood by some Jaycee guy I remember, wearing his little red vest.

I'm all for MFT and the artists both making some money whether it's NP or not. I'm glad there is another way of getting us out there. If I would have sold an album in the 80s, I remember most little labels and artists would be happy to sell their t…

PJ- I thought of that too! I could use a new Ping hat. We aren't too far down the road of the NP thing to turn back. But John is right, if we can find a way to funnel money to artists then I'm all about having MFT make some of that transaction. It…

I tried to watch 100 Ways but I could feel my life force draining. Haven't the Japanese made some horror films about this video?
