Topped With Fudge 2!

Topped With Fudge 2!Matt Sommers has now digitized the second TWF cassette for all to listen/download at his website.  The second Fudge was a little more "pro" in that it was actually manufactured and not simply dubbed by me.  However, it is still chock full of weird.  This installment has side projects from loads of well-known Indianapolis musicians including Lon Paul Ellrich, John Strohm, Vess Ruhtenberg, Dave Lawson and more.   See if you can spot who's on what.  It also has unreleased…See More

Topped With Fudge!

Matt Sommers has digitized the first Topped With Fudge compilation tape and has it available for listening and downloading at his website.  This comp was an idea created by PJ Christie and me.  The liner notes at the site cover some of the details.  I personally dubbed about a hundred copies of this yet somehow lost my own over a decade ago.  It is filled with awesomely strange and wacky side projects and weirdness from around Indiana circa 1990-91.  Enjoy! …See More

Rest in Peace, Kirk Butler

We lost a great guy Monday night. Kirk was an awesome part of local and international music. He recorded all kinds of artists from Willie Nelson, Miles Davis and Natalie Cole; to flying to Japan to record oddball new-age musicians. He recorded commercial jingles, gospel music, classical, jazz, pop, rock, blues, and everything between.

When I interned at September Recording in the early 90s, he patiently showed me a lot of techniques I still use today. He also filled my ears with… Continue

Got my band a brand-spanking new website and it could have been free!

http://thegitmos.com/ is where you'll find it. I already owned the domain name, but other than the cost of that (15 bucks a year) and having wordpress use that address (10 bucks a year) it was all FREE. Free I say!

Jeb turned me on to bandcamp.com for the music streaming and downloads. Thanks, Jeb! It's a pretty cool service that lets you embed your music elsewhere and sell or give away downloads with no charge to the… Continue

America's Great Hope, by Immortal Technique

From: Immortal Technique

Date: Nov 6, 2008 5:36 AM

I watched something necessary the other night, necessary for the legitimacy of America and it’s interests around the world. Necessary for it’s religion of capitalism and it’s imperial ambition, which were not curbed in anyway with the election of an African American. Instead they gained perhaps the greatest spokesperson for their cause that they could have ever received. People that never felt inclusive now feel like part… Continue
