About Me
Hi, Glad to be Member #372 on MFT! I have lo-fi video footage of all the bands who played at the first MFT Fest in '05.

I'm looking for freelance design work (or full-time in the Bay Area). I have extensive print editorial design and production experience, and a decent amount of web. Looking to expand my marketing and web skills. Check out my portfolio. I also blog.
What bands are you or have you been in?
My husband fronts Aim Low Kid. He also provides band and corporate/small business merchandising services.
What city are you from?
from Indianapolis (ok, Carmel!), went to school in Bloomington (the good old days), live in San Francisco

Insomnia

Like many folks on here, things haven't been the same for me since last week. Since arriving in Indy on Tuesday eve, last night was the only normal night's sleep I've had. Here's the rundown:

Tuesday: tossing and turning, getting up to pee, and night terrors galore. At one point I tripped while jumping out of bed in mid-terror and dove headfirst into the carpet. I have the rug burn to prove it. Glad I have bangs.

Wednesday: Didn't fall asleep until 4:30 a.m. Subjected myself to the truly awful… Continue

The LonPaul Journal Project

I will be bringing a couple, maybe three, journals to LP's memorial, along with some photos and materials for people to fill a page with their thoughts/drawings/collages and pass on to someone else, and so on, until they're full. It will probably take a year or more to fill them. I envision these journals to get passed from friend to friend, by hand and through the mail/internet, being tracked and scanned via the 1001 JournalsContinue

I have recreated the Indiana Wants Me with varying degrees of success. But I don't think the coleslaw was ever up to par. Reason enough to visit Bloomington? Is that place still there?

Leanne. Good to see you on here. Uh, August 8th. Bit early to be sure, but we should be in town. You're welcome to stop by or stay the night.

It's good to see you on MFT! Yes, Marin is a cutie, if I do say so myself. Thanks for your comment. Those robot paintings are sitting in our spare room up on a bookshelf. I think about you when I happen to see them or need to move them to get to a book. Someday for sure...

This is Mars Needs Women's, first band name. We got our flyers torn down Kirkwood by some Jaycee guy I remember, wearing his little red vest.

I'm all for MFT and the artists both making some money whether it's NP or not. I'm glad there is another way of getting us out there. If I would have sold an album in the 80s, I remember most little labels and artists would be happy to sell their t…

PJ- I thought of that too! I could use a new Ping hat. We aren't too far down the road of the NP thing to turn back. But John is right, if we can find a way to funnel money to artists then I'm all about having MFT make some of that transaction. It…

I tried to watch 100 Ways but I could feel my life force draining. Haven't the Japanese made some horror films about this video?
