Tascam Tape #5

After resurrecting my Tascam four track player (had to open it up, blow on some stuff, jiggle some things and reclose) I started digitizing the tapes for Posterity. I just did Tascam Tape #5 (circa 1985) since it contained songs that Phil and John B were interested in. I "mastered" my favorite songs in Garage Band and posted them here on this site. Tho I am poking around for a master site to post stuff on that is more "mine".

So here's the set list from Tape #5, with (lyrics by/music by) best a… Continue

We're the band that you can't see/no one can see us, not even me/Who's on drums/what's on bass/I don't know....Third base!
Oh for the love of god, did we actually do that stuff? Anyway, I will figure out the Johnny ESAD stuff here at some point and create a page. My feeling is that you've pretty much got the most worthy stuff though I do have a cassette that we made; I double check the list.

No biggie - as you've noticed the site is a bit, uh, non-intuitive. To get a separate band page you need to contact Jeb. Otherwise you can load to your "my music" or you can post tunes directly on blog or photo discussions by hitting the right-most button just above the text edit window. Have fun.

Cool. I would just post 'em on your page, in the section where it says "my music"

Ah, Beatrice. By the way I know you're busy and all that (me too) but at some point for the love of God we are going to have to digitize some of the Johnny ESAD stuff. At least "I Like To Eat"!

Sure, I could remix 'em. I couldn't tell from what you said - is your machine messing up or are the tapes messed up? My Tascam is up and running if that helps

This is Mars Needs Women's, first band name. We got our flyers torn down Kirkwood by some Jaycee guy I remember, wearing his little red vest.

I'm all for MFT and the artists both making some money whether it's NP or not. I'm glad there is another way of getting us out there. If I would have sold an album in the 80s, I remember most little labels and artists would be happy to sell their t…

PJ- I thought of that too! I could use a new Ping hat. We aren't too far down the road of the NP thing to turn back. But John is right, if we can find a way to funnel money to artists then I'm all about having MFT make some of that transaction. It…

I tried to watch 100 Ways but I could feel my life force draining. Haven't the Japanese made some horror films about this video?
