Been playing my original material in this city since '81 in one form or another. First with NIGHTCHILD in the 80's then on my own as a solo acoustic act, and since 1992 with DIREWOLF.
I also helped to establish a venue resource that others found invaluable when I talked the owner of Oliver's (a Westside under 21 club) into letting me host concerts there on Sunday nights back in '85. After Nightchild broke up in '87 the owner had me take over the management of the club. Some of our best all original draws locally during that time were Transgression, Backlash, Curfew (which became Snow White), and Torrid Reign. In order to pull even more kids in on the weekends I contacted Bill Levin who helped to bring in national acts like Gwar and Babes in Toyland plus local favorites like Raw Meat. I left the gig in '89 to travel and I believe Marvin Goldstein took my place.
I agree! I've been loving these networking sites for getting back in touch. Are you telling me that you work at the ICTC building? So do I but I'm hardly ever there. But I do have an office on the 4th floor. What are you doing there?
You are welcome. Scott's spent more time here than I have. I keep meaning to delve in more, but life's been busy. I think this space is a place for sharing about music in Indiana... past and present.

Hey Randy, if you want folks in general here to read it, you should copy and paste your music history stuff into a public field - we have that set up to help weed outbots and spammers, and it's private so folks won't be shy.
I'm all for MFT and the artists both making some money whether it's NP or not. I'm glad there is another way of getting us out there.
If I would have sold an album in the 80s, I remember most little labels and artists would be happy to sell their t…
PJ- I thought of that too! I could use a new Ping hat.
We aren't too far down the road of the NP thing to turn back. But John is right, if we can find a way to funnel money to artists then I'm all about having MFT make some of that transaction. It…
