About Me
Spent my formative years in Indiana (Indy and Bloomington), lived in B'ton in 1981, then from '84-'89. Lived several years in the Allen Building when it was a ghetto and remember more Bloomington musical history than I'd like to admit. After many years in Austin, Texas, I now live in the mountains of East Tennessee.

Throbbing Gristle in Chicago

Throbbing Gristle will be playing Chicago this April. Details here:

Official TG Site

This is pretty huge and historic. I won't be able to make it but if anyone on the site does I'd love to hear a review.

I just read the Second Story Memories blog from a year or two back and saw your post asking about the "hippie dance" with antlers during UR night or something. I have to confess to being a part of that debacle. PJ Christie had organized a little impromptu song and dance with different lyrics for the guys and girls. Unfortunately, he gave the guys lines to the girls and vice versa. When it started, everyone clung to the back of the stage. I had to herd them onto the stage and by the time everyone was out the song was half over. I just remember the song going "La la la, La la la" etc. Some woman recorded video and audio, so there may be copy in a vault somewhere. I just wanted to thank you for reminding me of one of my "finer" moments on stage. Peace!

I suppose that, having an interest in "The House of Blue Lights and Hoosier hauntings in general", you're probably already familiar with this site, but just in case:

I officially moved my Illinois Stones thread to the Carmichael Blog. Didn't seem right to hijack Indiana Musical history for it. I will notify Commander Whybark.

Hey Stephen,
How is Texas treating you these days? It's very cold in Indy and heat aint cheap. Lots of long lost folks on MFT. It's almost like a cool version of a highschool reunion.
