I've always suspected that Dave would almost prefer reporting on and reviewing Indy artists vs. writing up the latest Jimmy Buffet show any day of the week. The fact that Daydream Nation was not mentioned in this interview shocks me, though.

yeah man, how's it goin? I'm rippin the drums with a few peoples here in Portland.. trying to get back into the live music thing. Also making a few albums post Stranger Lazy (with a couple fellas in the band), one is my 24 song album called "Rare, Priceless Discoveries" and the band name is The Tall Buildings. We also have another album from a side project called "Internet".. our lead singer released a solo album. No more S.L. at the moment, but we're still in the music making machine. That's all.. just thought I'd catch ya up on random shit. peace..

Steve, tell Jeff I said hello please. There's a small chance the Walking Ruins will play in June; if so I will give you a heads up and maybe even Jeff will come. Over and out!

Hey you. Any chance you remember a show the Walking Ruins did with the Glory Hounds at Second Story @1993? Few people were there but we had just played with the Offspring in Indy and had a good set that night. Any word on Jeff Chandler?

PJ- I thought of that too! I could use a new Ping hat. We aren't too far down the road of the NP thing to turn back. But John is right, if we can find a way to funnel money to artists then I'm all about having MFT make some of that transaction. It…
