Spreading Indiana Music

Band Of The Week Profiles- give us your lists!

Hey MFTers, we have an intern at Small Box this summer!

http://www.musicalfamilytree.net/profile/JustinShimp

Justin Shimp, from Ball State/Muncie, will be helping with various tasks and one of them is updating MFT with new music and writing a weekly blog profiling a different band each week. We will hopefully be able to update the band's bio and music during this process.

Justin will also be adding new bands to the site so suggestions are welcome. He is trained on adding bands to the archive so we should be able to get a good chunk of music on the site this summer!

So what bands do you want profiled by Justin?

What bands do you want added to the site by Justin?

Thanks! Jeb

I've been listening to Songs: Ohia and Magnolia Electric Company. These bands I think are really pretty cool and totally Indiana, but they never play in Indy.

S:O did an album called Axcess and Ace that they gave away and it is really good. If we got permission from Dave Molina I would like to post it.

I have stepped where no man has stepped before, I am proud, unbowed and walking forward with stuff on my shoes from the stepping, no wish to investigate what "stuff" might be.

I can't believe you stepped into that trap, Jeb. Chris: "win-win" LMFAO (in tribute to Mr. Goldstein). I'm glad MFT2 never took off - this site would be far less amusing without all the rabble rousing.

who the hell is Chris Kupersmith? Serious?

Do some homework Marvin. Chris is one of the best musicians on this site and dear friend of mine and many other people here. Listen to Uvula, one of my all time favorite bands. His new album with the Old Flames (Kenny Childers and many others play on it), produced with LonPaul, is coming out on MFT as soon as we can raise the funds. It's amazing stuff.

Apache Dropout--a bunch of Bloomington freaks; Norman Oak-- a single Bloomington freak by the name of Chris Barth (Impossible Shapes)--if you haven't seen him, do yourself a favor and check it out. You'll either be blown away or you'll have more fodder for your a-hole commentary. It's win-win.

Ok, Maybe Coke Dares and A.O.T.M., but who the hell are the other two?
