Hello again everyone! I think im running a week late but hopefully thats alright. I received a new album from Jeb last week and just now got around to listening to it. So here I am just now finishing up the last track. And i got to say that its pretty darn good. The album is David England's "Little Death." Ok lets jump into the review:
The music reminds me of Ryan Adams and the Cardinals while the vocals are come really close to the humble soft voice of Gruff Rhys from the Super Furry Animals. And even though that sounds weird when you just think of it abstractly, i think when you listen to this album you will immediately see that correlation. This album flows really well. And I really had a great time listening to it. Anyone with a soft spot for country music that isn't contrived and poppy like those modern pop country stars, "Little Death" is a great record to visit. not only is it technically sound. The arrangements and song structure are really well done and sound to come from someone very experienced and someone who has a deep understanding on what makes a song a song.
Not one song goes on for too long and there isn't a song on here that I feel is too short. Everything flows really well and seems to be in its right place. The musicians on this album are very experienced and it shows with their precision and attention to detail.
In conclusion this is definitely an album i would recommend to fans of Ryan Adams and other related bands. It maybe doesn't have the over emotional lyrics that Ryan Adam's fans adore so much but the music is really top notch.

Thanks for listening!
