The 10 best British indie record labels (Guardian UK gallery)

OK, so it's not an Indiana thing, but still --- many of the bands and artists on these labels have fans in our crowd. (For instance, the 4AD label distributed Bloomington's Lisa Germano for many years, though now her label is Young God Records.)

The picture gallery has short histories of each label (Rough Trade / Creation / Factory / XL Recordings / Warp / Ninja Tune / Domino / 4AD / Hyperclub / Mute).
