Spreading Indiana Music

The most fun I ever had in college was while playing in The Beertonez. We had a blast, and even made a few bucks here and there. A starving college student couldn't ask for more. Before long, I was thinking about how to get the band to Hollywood to give things a go.

While I was busy thinking this, everyone else was thinking about their own paths and things to do. The ultimate split of the band was the most uneventful thing I've experienced. Everyone just went home. The end.

Still, I wonder.

This fall will mark the 25th anniversary of my joining the band and our first gig at The Outpost. With that, I decided that I should do something special to celebrate this great moment in my life.

"The Beertonez Review" will be a limited live performance, starting this fall, in the LA / Hollywood area. It would have been great to get all the guys together, but everyone is so spread out. It's too late to put a band together, so I've recorded all of the backing tracks, and will be performing on guitar and singing (J.D. Ross guitar study has been fun).

The set list (so far):

Jumpin' Jack Flash (cover)
C'mon and Dance
Walkin'
College Girls
She's Just a Bitch
Live Wire
Who Killed the Clownz

One more cover may be added.

It's hard to believe that it's been 25 years ago this fall.

You can find the band on MySpace or The Muncie Sampler (Bob Chaos Records).

If you are in the LA area, and are interested in attending a performance, please send me an email about it (drumwild@gmail.com) and I will add you to my email list.
