hey you, what the hell have you been up to? Me? You dont wanna know, ASuffice it to say there isnt much of the seedy underbelly of life I have not seen or been exposed to. I consider myself lucky to be on this earthly plane srtill. However, for onve I have learned (God, I hope) ) FROM MY LESSONS AND HAVE TURNED THINGS AROUND TO THE POSITITVE. tHATS THE KEY, YOU MAY WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF DEATH BUT IF YOU MAKE IT THROUGH TO THE LIGHT AT THE WEND YOU CAN TAKE ALL THAT KNOWLEDGE AND MAKE AN EXISTENCE FOR YOURSELF THAT IS real, NO BULLSHIT ALLOWED. aND THAT MY LOVE IS WHERE IM AT. KEEPING IT REAL, SIMPLE, HUMBLE, AND STAYING GRATEFUL FOR WHAT i DO hAVE. "I DO NOT WANT WHAT I HAVEN'T GOT" AINT THAT IT??? yEAH, STILL MANIC, CRAZY, WHTEVER TERM YOU CHOOSE, BUT I AM DETERMINED TI HAVE FUN AND JOY, NO MATTER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES COME MY WAY. ALL MY LOVE TO YOU ANSD YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY!!! bABY nIKKI
What up Muthafucker! How long have you been in Texass? I lived in Austin for most of '06 working for a bunch of ass-wipes at the Zach Scott Theater. It's a cool town though. My favorite Dude in Austin is Alejandro Diaz Jr. What are you doing these days?
Drew
He's in the Twin Cities.I don't know what ever became of him.He was in Bloomington last Spring but I did not see him.Andrew said something about him getting caught " sniffing" another mans wife's" panties",or Andrew's wife????,but thats Andrew,& he told me that 13 years ago,so that's my latest update I have. All I know is he's up north......
Too kind! I am feeling really emotional today and have been very touched by the responses from you personally and from everyone in general. I often felt like I dreamed my other life I once lived in Indiana. When I have talked about my former life I haven't allowed myself to remember much and when I have I have focused too much on the rocky past. My mom had massive mental health problems and it was all too much. I grew up fast and got on with my life rarely looking back. It is incredible to see and feel all of the warm fuzzies coming back! Glad you are still around.
I remember you too. You always had a way of saying my name that made me wonder if you were making fun of me or if it was affectionate. You sort of whined it. It freaked me out, I was like 14 years old. I also liked the attention of an older person in the scene. It is funny because no one calls me Jenni anymore, except my family and even most of them call me Jen. I moved away shortened my name and started a new life.
Your family is adorable. Congrats! I have pictures that I want to post this evening some old some new, but I have to finish scanning and transferring.
I posted some pictures up in the photo section Monday i took outside my flat on the morning. Not as bad as America,John Mahorney says they have had it bad in Louisville. They reckon it is the worst for 18 years in England ! I was not that bothered by it though as i`m jobless at the moment,so i do not have to go too work in it ! I guess its nothing but sun & more sun where you live Mr Santo. Your choice on where to live is spot on.
Yeah, of course there are other tastemakers - I vaguely mention that we all have our own filtering mechanisms and that will continue. Social networking and blogs will become more and more important - as will ways of communicating that we can't conce…
Hey John, since you are the only person I know who would know:
Are the models that drive satellite radio producing any revenue for the artist? You don't mention satellite services but to me, not having one, it seems to be a logical evolution to bet…
I predict that labels may not go away, but they will become less important--as will traditional broadcast radio. Ten years from now we will all have internet-based radio in our cars. And the taste-maker-gate-keepers may not all be labels. They might…
I think it's significant that iTunes acquired LaLa, a streaming site (which I use to preview or rather pre-listen to new releases). With the likely release of Spotify in the U.S., and the fact that Rhapsody already has a subcription streaming servic…
John- do you think there will be one master archive of all music in various formats (Wav, MP3, etc)?
I think you are right on with your predictions but I wonder about the logistics. Will it be like the current distro model where you can get these r…
Thanks, man. I'm not second-guessing whether SubPop was ever actually part of the major system - it seems like they did some sort of P&D deal around the time Mammoth and Matador did, but I don't recall for sure. Anyway they are an indie currently an…
