Spencer (Shecky) Sundell

The Beatles live at Indianapolis State Fair Coliseum, pt. 1

One of two concerts at the Indianapolis State Fair Coliseum on Sept. 3, 1964, during The Beatles' second US tour.

Originally shot on 16mm (what everyone used for news in those days) by WISH-TV for a local special, "Our Fair Beatles," which aired on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1964. The concert was also broadcast live on WIFE-AM. The announcer at the beginning is Jerry Baker, from that station.

The material has apparently circulated on bootlegs for years. These vids appear to be of an attempt to sync a recording of the radio broadcast with various surviving snippets from the film footage.

The original WISH-TV special was publicly shown for the second time ever on July 29, 2008 at the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library, downtown.

Read a transcript of one of their press conferences in Indy that day.

PJ- I thought of that too! I could use a new Ping hat. We aren't too far down the road of the NP thing to turn back. But John is right, if we can find a way to funnel money to artists then I'm all about having MFT make some of that transaction. It…

I tried to watch 100 Ways but I could feel my life force draining. Haven't the Japanese made some horror films about this video?
