Shows start too damn late in this town!

Hell fucking yes. I know I'm twenty-three and am supposed to be into staying up until 10 am the next day or whatever, but seriously, guys. I'm usually spent by 1 am. I hate getting to shows and finding out that they're not even going to start until 11:30. Even worse if I'm playing them.

Yeah, I'm with you guys on this one. I don't even bother going out most of the time, 'cause I know I won't hang in there.

Although, I've noticed myself attending more of the House/Public Park/WFHB shows, even when I have no idea who any of the bands are. . . Lord of the Yumm Yumm was pretty cool, and I still got to do some porch-sitting with friends afterwards, and even made it home before Midnight.

Same here. Maybe it's that I don't drink like I used to, but round 1am, I GET SLEEPY. I'm sure there are earlier shows worth seeing that I just don't ever hear about until usually the day after. Maybe this site will help alleviate having to dig through the local paper or catching upcoming events on the radio. As I don't get downtown much, I don't see flyers. But with the handy upcoming events list here...

stupid late hours keeping me from going to shows. makes me sad. mike, if we're ever in a band together we should demand to play first under some sort of geriatric clause... oh, wait a second, is this mike emmett? never mind.
