Musical Family Tree Indiana Music MP3 Archive

Indiana MP3 Archive and Online Community

As many of your know we are wrapping up restoring the MFT MP3 archive. With the finish line now in site we are now looking to begin adding bands to the archive that have been missed, for a possible million reasons and I swear not intentionally in most cases, and now need to be added.

So let's get this party started. Please review the list of bands, link to bands index, and let us know what bands we need to add. If you can please post pictures, a bio and even MP3s. We can move them over to the archive which runs on a different platform than the community.

Cool? Thanks- Jeb

Yes. Dusty's diner is a must (please). I lost my Black Brittle Frisbee ages ago. I had an advance copy from John Sheets (who is conspicuously absent from the archives on this site!)

Arrrr!
I had Mark Kunoff rip and clean one of those cassettes that ransom had made for me after the first fire. I wasn't sure, Marco, either, if I still had a copy, but found one out in the old van. Ripping and posting on my page as we speak.
When I had Mark rip that and finally had a digital copy, I asked Ransom if he cared whether I posted it or not and he said do whatever I wanted to with it, after 20 years it's about freaking time somebody got to listen to it. I haven't run into Rob or Dan for years.
It's the 1986 "live at the MAC" tape with an '87 session of Dixie Piss tacked on the end.
Zulu Beatniks were:
Ransom Haille : Guitars, Vocals
Craig Blackketter: Saxophone, Vocals
Rob Engle (sp?): Bass
Dan Hostettler: Drums

I think we played, what, '86 thru '88?

HaHa
I think to this day that is the only band I ever got to play '96 tears' with...
I was filling in for an out of town Charles Frommer on sax for the, uh, 9th Bday Party? at 2nd Story? First time I ever played there, I think. I was in high school.

Hi, I'm pretty sure that is The Phrogs. I'm elderly and my memory is going fast, but I am pretty sure Evan Finch wrote some of those songs, Superball was neat and so was Closed Casket Funeral. Mike Sheets (no relation, of course) released a 45 on his Rusty Cow label, and they did an amazing cassette .

Love for the Phrogs!?! Oh, be still my heart.

Twenty some odd years later and my brain will still say to me "they come in all colors, that's ROY G BIV, Superball.......superball....supersupersuper....superball..."

I had a tape way back then, no idea what might have happened to it.

We have to get the N.ids people in here - I have lots of their recordings, like a tape they submitted I think to play in RFNR. In fact, I have lots of demo tapes - bands were always giving me demo tapes for street dances, benefit shows, etc. There are some real gems, as they say. It'd be nice to put all the old music out in cyberspace.

The Belgian Waffles! (TBW!) Also: Eleneki; MOE; Luna is a Moon Too!

I was in these bands. Eleneki (I believe) only exits on video from a QAX street dance (Sindie E.!) and on an Eric White 'Duck Tape' vid from 17th and Jackson fortress (Speckhart!). MOE recorded one record I have on digital and I may have a LIAMT! tape somewhere..

I got an email this week from this guy who is part of the Belgian Waffles Tribute Band, and he asked me when the 1st time I saw the BW was, and what the set list was!

I'm pretty sure there is no biological way I could remember either.
