I feel like I've been out of the 'new music loop' ever since Tony Whitlock moved away from Bloomington....
....I have listened to Steve Earl's "Washington Square Serenade" a lot though.
I'll have to give some of the ones you list a listen.
Last year I really ejoyed At My Age by Nick Lowe. I'm a big fan anyway, but this is maybe his best LP. I bought it on 180 gram vinyl from Reprock, but haven't opened it yet. i think I may have worn out the CD though.
I was quite chuffed when Joe gave me a 180 gram limited edition of 7 Deadly Sinners by The Born Again Floozies. Its a great record!
I tend to find music by chance, The three other most listened too LPs from 2007 at my house were/are, Vintage Violence by John Cale, Greatest Hits by Major Lance and The Best of Joe Tex.
I didn't mean to throw this off topic. I listed the two new releases I got on vinyl in 2007 and the several LPs that were new to me in 2007. Or maybe I just wanted to put up a picture of Joe Tex wearing a very sharp suit.
