PHOTOS on people's"MY PAGE": SLIDESHOW vs GALLERY?
OK, here's my question: the photographs on many people's pages are a slideshow. But some people's pages show an gallery (thumbnails with titles) instead. How does one switch from one's own page showing a slideshow to showing a gallery, and back? (I hope it isn't just some simple thing I overlooked, but even if it is, I seem to overlook it every time.) My page right now presents a slideshow, but I'm thinking I might prefer a gallery. But maybe I'll change my mind.

I'm not sure how (or if) users can set the defaults, Ed, but there's a little button on the slideshow UI, next to the pause / back / forward buttons. it's a little grid of six boxes. clicking that swaps the presentation mode. I kinda doubt that it is sticky.

There should be an Edit button on the Photos area that lets you switch. I changed it on the home page and it seems to get rid of the Non-Responsive Script error. Also, I noted that Ning is aware of this error and that was a user recommendation so I wanted to try it out.

Thanks Jeb, I have the patience of a gnat. not sure if it's cuz these pages load slow or if it's just my spy-ware addled computer taking so long but the profile pic [option] wasn't popping up right away.
so. I waited, took some Ritalin and lo, and behold it did pop up,...

Is there a way to leave comments on songs, albums and/or band pages? Mike Menke posted a recording/mix, and he's asked me (in email) what I think about it. It would be cool to attach a blog post/video/Podcast to the audio file somehow. Are you guys hacking at the Ning source code yet? I bet it wouldn't be too hard to learn, if you've got the time.

Hi: I am trying to upload an image in the commnts section of someone's page. I upload it and get this message:

instead of seeing my photo. What am I doing wrong?

Hey Joe, sorry, missed this one. We are looking to make improvements like that but getting source code also means we don't get system updates which would not be good.

Hi, I am not sure what I'm doing, again. How do I download a song from a members page? When I click on the arrow (pointing down) It takes me to an empty URL.

Or maybe my question is, can you download a song from a members page?

You should be able too. It depends on whether they have it set to allow download. I think if you right click you can save as well. I have to admit it isn't totally obvious the way it's set up but I can't change it from my end.
