About Ladymoon:
Born just hours apart in the same Indianapolis hospital, Ryan Brown and Kris Potts seemed destined to create music together. The two met in the summer of 1988 and quickly became friends. Soon they would discover their musical talents in their respective instruments. Brown took up the guitar and Potts on electric bass. The two jammed together and started creating the foundation of what would eventually become Ladymoon. Rehearsing and performing with several different drummers Brown finally met Mark McKowen at Ball State University sometime in 2000. McKowen was a great match to Brown and Potts given his diverse musical capabilities. The three created several new songs and recorded a full length LP in 2001. The band was on its way to becoming one of the most creative and influential groups to come out of the Midwest jam band scene. They performed at many venues throughout the region sharing their eclectic sound and crazy on stage performances. Yet as in all great tragedies the members of Ladymoon parted ways in 2003. The band members became involved in other projects (Brown & McKowen formed Austin Bridges, while Potts turned in the bass for a mandolin in Midwest Rhythm Exchange) and expanded their individual musical repertoires. However the desire to play together was too strong and they eventually reunited in 2007. Now Ladymoon is back and better than ever! They recently completed a five song demo with keyboardist and singer Nick Jaenicke. Jaenicke has performed all over the country with the Indiana University group Straight No Chaser and his college band Mitchell Street. The touring version of Ladymoon is now a power trio consisting of the original members of Ladymoon… Brown, Potts, and McKowen with Nick Mallers sitting in on percussion from time to time. Ladymoon is back and is better than ever. They have recently received Runner-Up in Relix Magazines “Jam-Off” and will have an editorial piece in the November edition. Their range expanded while taking time off and they drew new musical inspiration from their individual side projects. While they have recorded a 5 song EP since reuniting their song selection is enormous with original songs ranging from ska and reggae to progressive rock and jamband. Not to mention covers which include a wide array or artists including Talking Heads, Traffic & Deep Purple as well as Phish & The Grateful Dead.

This is Mars Needs Women's, first band name. We got our flyers torn down Kirkwood by some Jaycee guy I remember, wearing his little red vest.

I'm all for MFT and the artists both making some money whether it's NP or not. I'm glad there is another way of getting us out there. If I would have sold an album in the 80s, I remember most little labels and artists would be happy to sell their t…

PJ- I thought of that too! I could use a new Ping hat. We aren't too far down the road of the NP thing to turn back. But John is right, if we can find a way to funnel money to artists then I'm all about having MFT make some of that transaction. It…

I tried to watch 100 Ways but I could feel my life force draining. Haven't the Japanese made some horror films about this video?
