Richard,
After speaking to you New Years Eve, at my sister & Ben's, I knew you were an interesting and wonderful person. I was so happy for Lon Paul.
Your words at the memorial were perfect. I have thought about your strength and courage more than a few times since...
Thank you for being great.
sorry leanne, that wasn't me. i'm, glad it wasn't. had he known me nine years ago his life would have taken a far different track and Libby and Rupert would not be here. as much as my life would have been enhanced by knowing LP longer i would not trade my joy for Libby and Ruperts.
Hi Richard, I think I met you briefly about nine years ago when I ran into you and LonPaul at Keystone Arts Cinema. I'm so sorry for your loss.
I am starting a journal project in LonPaul's name. I'll be bringing three art journals to the memorial that will be passed around for the next year or more. I'll save the opening spread in one of them for you. I posted a blog on my page about it and will start an MFT group dedicated to the project soon. I look forward to meeting you on Wednesday.
Good to meet you here sir. I believe i have heard lon paul speak fondly of you before, i didn't get to see him alot the past few years living out here in California. don't know if i'll be able to make it back this wednesday but this site has been a great uniter of a lot of old and new friends that all loved and were touched by Lon Paul. What an amazing carrier of the light.
thanks PJ. i know that dark lyric. we often sang in unison. the thrill he got was in his hope that we would hear him. he wanted to be held and rocked in your arms after that song. he graced me by allowing me to represent you in that act. i always knew i was loved perhaps more for what i symbolized than for simply who i was. there were no constraints, no barriers at home. he had no fear here. it is sad we often have to step away from our closest, most admired friends to expose our hearts. he wanted to change that for everyone. his ideal for us all would have been a constant everlasting group hug. he secretly dreamed of a place, a village for just we idiots; complete with communal kitchen, daycare, a giant androgynous bedscape and a studio for you and one for me; all that behind a protective wall built brick by brick with his own strong hands. we amused ourselves some afternoons by driving up one street then down another in S. Broadripple determining the borders of his town and selecting which houses to restore, where to clear a space for playground how to lay out a path that would allow us all an easy unfettered access to each other. he wanted all of us to be held and rocked in comforting and forgiving arms.
