Married. Two kids. Getting my master's in Education. Still listen to punk, lounge music, jazz, and current metal that my son listens to. Attended Indiana University from 1985-1990.
The days are getting colder here-the spider's are dying off or finding spots to hibernate. We still get a couple of warm days popping up now and again so they'll emerge and spin webs only to go into hiding the next day when the temp drops.
That next story is in 3rd person-kinda weird - but I wanted to see how dificult it would be. Let me know what you think.

Oh-also just FYI: Daddy longlegs are not spiders. They are cousins, but they have no venom or fangs and generally act as one of Nature's Janitors, cleaning up refuse like dead insects and rotting vegetation. There is a myth that they are the most dangerous spider on the planet but that their fangs are too small to pierce the skin-it's just an old wives tale-they aren't even spiders.
I know you can't be there but I thought you'd like the flyer. Glad you liked the Robbie story-the last one is more "fictionalized" than the other two. I was trying to write in 3rd person and I wanted to make my character a bit of a jerk-which isn't far from the truth in regards to the parts of the story that are based on actual events-which is really most of it-does that make sense?
I'm sorry that you were bitten-spiders aren't rational animals in that regard. They either run or bite when they're scared. My dog lost a fight with a very large hairy wolf spider about a year ago. He was squawking like he was on fire, as this spider swung from his upper lip. The spider walked away and my dog (Boomer) hasn't messed with one since.
Yeah, a lot of spiders can lose appendages quite readily-a benefit to having eight legs.
Matt-
Great to hear from you again. I'll visit your site and send my stats. Tony...well, how is he, anyway? On occasion I'll hear an old Beat Happening song and think of him. Send my greetings to him when you get a chance. Glad Sean will be visiting you. All is well here, just busy as hell, and I assume that hell is a pretty busy place! Talk to you soon, you Rock N Roll Hair God!
Things have slowed down to a crawl lately... errf. Now moved into my new place, which is great, but no internet there, which is crumby. I'll get ya the goods, for real! Send yr address to my myspace page. Best bet. Tony just visited for a week! That was fun... I am still recovering. He promises to look in on us here when he get a free computer at the library! Right. Sean McCloud coming next month! Visiting is way cool. Hope you are well.
